Marzano & Sons Distracted Driving Policy
Research consistently shows that distracted driving is a serious danger on the road, putting you and other drivers at an increased risk of life-threatening accidents. In light of this grave risk and the importance Marzano & Sons DBA Mammoth Ready Mix places on safety, employees of Marzano & Sons DBA Mammoth Ready Mix are forbidden from:
- Using hand-held or hands-free cell phones while driving a company motor vehicle
- Using hand-held or hands-free cell phones provided or paid for in whole or in part by Marzano & Sons DBA Mammoth Ready Mix while driving a non-company motor vehicle.
This prohibition includes but is not limited to the following activities:
- Initiating cell phone calls
- Answering cell phone calls
- Reading any form of written or photographic message displayed on a cell phone
- Creating or sending any form of written or photographic message on a cell phone
This prohibition applies even when the vehicle is stopped at stop sign or stop light.
Employees who need to use the phone for any reason while driving must pull off the road and park before doing so.
Employees who are found to have violated this policy are subject to the following consequences:
- Verbal Warning
- Revoke of Cell Phone privileges (One month)
- Termination ' ' '
